Carol Hannah's Happily Yours Wedding Dress Collection

The name Carol Hannah might seem familiar to some of you and may leave some of you wondering, where have I heard that name from?  Well, as huge Project Runway fans, we know that name as one of our favorite designers from Season 6.  Even though she did not win that season, she has made quite the name for herself and makes absolutely, gorgeous wedding gowns.  She just recently came out with her new collection Happily Yours and it is too die for!  All the dresses are whimsical, fresh floor length gowns that leaves every girl dreaming of owning and wearing on her special day.

Inspiration 101: Thanksgiving

The holiday season is upon us once again.  The best time of year for friends, family and a whole lot of good food.  Our minds are fully loaded with ideas of how to make a special Thanksgiving inspired wedding.  When we think of the word Thanksgiving, the first thing that comes to mind is turkey, fall colors, and our Grandma's homemade pie, of course.  Your dessert table could be full of mini pumpkin, apple, and pecan pies with table fully loaded with cranberries trees and orange and green florals.  Pumpkin soup, turkey and mashed potatoes for dinner.  Now we are getting all those juices flowing for a gorgeous wedding.

Paper Accordion Rosettes

We are always on the look out for cool easy DIY projects, that are not only inexpensive and fun, but really pump up the volume at your event.  Paper accordion rosettes could be just the piece for you.  Rosettes are an easy way to keep on track with your wedding colors and keep a fun, festive look.  Or you could even go as far as whimsical--use sparkly papers and hang them from the ceiling or use as a back drop for a photo booth.  Oh there are so many ideas, the list goes on and on!  We absolutely can't wait to try them out.

Guest Book Idea: Personalized Prints on Etsy

10 years ago there were not any fun guest book ideas like this! I wish that instead of my fill-in-your-name-on-the-blank book that I had one of these colorful and fun prints from Personalized Prints for our guest book. The colors can all be customized along with names, dates and even monograms. My girlfriend did the fingerprint tree were guests filled out the tree by putting the fingerprints on the poster and then signed. What a memorable keepsake! You can find these and more ideas on Personalized Prints' Etsy site or their website at www.modernkeepsake.com.

c9 wedding: Chelsea & Jeff at Trinity Methodist and the Magnolia Ballroom

Thank you to Susan Pacek with Susan Pacek Photography for our wonderful images from Chelsea and Jeff’s September wedding! The ceremony took place at Trinity Methodist and the reception at the Magnolia Ballroom. The colors were shades of pinks, whites and ivories with the bridesmaids in slate. These colors added a touch of vintage with the timeless florals that were just beautiful. Add a touch of up-lighting and you have a very dramatic setting!
