Inspiration 101: Pale Pink & Gray

Spring is around the corner and what two better colors to celebrate it with than a pale pink and cool gray! Winter and Spring come together and these two colors compliment each other and provide a fab backdrop for which ever takes center stage. Whether you lean towards chic, vintage or traditional – these colors can be translated in so many ways. We look forward to bringing this palette to reality soon!

Sparkle in the New Year

We may have been sitting on the couch unable to move from all the excitement and loads of food from Christmas, but it is time to get up and start thinking about reigning in the New Year.  There are parties planned and great upcoming festivities; however, have you found the perfect outfit?  Whether it be for a wedding or just a great party, we are thinking to add a little (or a lot) of sparkle to sum up the year.  The holidays are such a special time and we love choosing an amazing outfit to party in.  Every fashion magazine and website we browse, celebrities and models are in over the top, beautiful sparkling dresses, shorts, shirts, and anything else that will shimmer and we cannot wear it to celebrate 2012!

Inspiration 101: Thanksgiving

The holiday season is upon us once again.  The best time of year for friends, family and a whole lot of good food.  Our minds are fully loaded with ideas of how to make a special Thanksgiving inspired wedding.  When we think of the word Thanksgiving, the first thing that comes to mind is turkey, fall colors, and our Grandma's homemade pie, of course.  Your dessert table could be full of mini pumpkin, apple, and pecan pies with table fully loaded with cranberries trees and orange and green florals.  Pumpkin soup, turkey and mashed potatoes for dinner.  Now we are getting all those juices flowing for a gorgeous wedding.

Inspiration 101: Halloween

With Halloween just around the corner, there are so many inspiring ideas for a Halloween themed wedding.  It may be the simple use of oranges or blacks for your bridesmaids dresses, groomsmen ties, and reception colors or a spooky candlelight and cobwebs or a theme centered around your favorite scary movie.  The possibilities are endless and can make for a fun spooky night to celebrate the upcoming nuptials.

Inspiration 101: Autumn

Fall is here! We love the cooler weather and the gorgeous colors that is everything autumn. Hues such as taupes, oranges, browns and just make you want to jump into pile of leaves (in your wedding dress off course!). We love that fall is around the corner and with that brings the inspiration for rich, deep wedding colors. Anything blue works for us and pairing it with shades of violet makes for a dramatic and brilliant emsemble. Accents of silver and a light blue can enhance the overall effect.

Inspiration 101: Lavender and Lemon

These two colors, lavender and lemon, are great spring/summer wedding colors. The bright yellow pairs beautifully with the subdued lavender tones making a very cheerful pairing. We suggest a signature drink of champagne with a  lavender sugared rim!

Inspiration 101: Gold and Pink

Happy Spring! This romantic inspiration board shows the softer side of pink and gold. The combo is perfect for the spring and summer with it’s warm tones that are classic. Pink tones keep the feel soft and elegant, while touches of matte gold add understated glamour. We hope to do a wedding with this palette soon!

Inspiration 101: Orange & Gray

Gray has been so hot for the past year and we are still loving everything about it. It is a great ‘cool’ color that can take the edge off of hot vibrant colors and also can add a more contemporary and modern edge to the color palette. When paired with orange, these two colors play off each other brilliantly while still maintaining their own identity. It is a playful match that we hope sticks around for a bit!

Color Inspiration 101: Chartreuse and Aqua

Spring is in the air and what better color pairs that Chartreuse and Aqua! These two colors are light, crisp and cool. Pair a signature drink in either color and you have a party!

Inspiration 101: Cameo Pink & Black

Everyone loves a touch of whimsy and with the cameo introduced into the style adds a vintage spin. This look is fun to recreate in different colors depending on how far in the direction of feminine or masculine you want to go. It also makes a fun bridal shower theme. The board from the Perfect Palette incorporates photos from Martha Stewart Weddings and the centerpiece is from florist Naomi deManana.

Color Inspiration: Navy

Navy has become the new black lending itself to be a neutral color. It lends itself nicely to almost all colors and can let them take center stage provided a rich back drop. Here are some of our favorite photos using navy.

Navy + Lime

We did the paper products for a wedding that happened in September that were traditional with a flare of color. The save the date introduced the lime into the color scheme while the invitation was more stately with navy. The leaf escort cards are going to be set up in birch logs (we will post pictures) which is a fun spin over the traditional display. Both the invitations and escort cards were done by one of our favorite calligraphers, Christi Johnson.

Inspiration 101 - Tangerine & Steel

With summer quickly approaching, we were inspired to create a wedding palette that incorporated a subtle backdrop with a bright pop of color. Tangerine and steel gray were the two perfect colors for our elegant, classic and sophisticated wedding vision!

Inspiration 101 - Eggplant & Slate

We were inspired to create this decor board after a winter bride finalized her invitations with Pampered Papers.

The invite has a cream base layer then topped with deep plum and highlighted with an eggshell white. Raisin was the color selected for the thermography text.

For the purpose of this board we added slate as a secondary color with mustard yellow or lime green a highlighting accent. We love this color combination for an elegant fall or winter wedding.
